Thanks for joining your Talent Network, Maureen. Good stuff in your blog!

Profile Information

A little bit about me and my interests and talent:
I am a telephone name sourcer which means I find people holding specific jobs withn specific organizations EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE LIKELY NOT LOOKING FOR A JOB at the time I find them! That's the point - my customers want to talk to people who are gainfully and productively employed - not just job seekers! So make it easy for me to find you - put your name, title, direct dial and cell on your Work VoiceMail 'cause that's where I'm looking for you FIRST - and oh! Also put your email on there BUT spell it slowly and carefully so I can catch it!

That's a little bit about me.

;)
Where I'm From:
Cincinnati, OH
My Current Employment Status:
Happily Employed

I set up Symantec like I would if I was going to source out of it:

Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ:Continue

This is an easy one - if you can get the hot lights of the press zeroed in on you.

Notice how several of their folks are listed, along with their titles? This is the stuff ZoomInfo and other social networks that use web crawlers live for, easy mathematical algorithmic correlations between names and titles.

Notice how these folks are listed...

How To Make Yourself More Findable/Marketable To Recruiters Part II

The next thing I’d do if I wanted to be “found” in order to be presented with other opportunities, or just in general to stay abreast of what’s going on is REGISTER AT LINKEDIN.

Right this minute. Don't hesitate.

LinkedIn is one of the several social networks but with a present membership claim of 7+ million people, (this goes to show how fast LinkedIn has grown since I wrote this several months ago - membership there is approaching or has just passed 20mi… Continue

The following is a four part series that is part of the MagicMethod (ModuleIV) telephone names sourcing training – it's meant to inform Job Opportunists how to make themselves findable to name sourcers! I hope you enjoy it.

Think: Different!

Employers are embracing niche boards in an effort to more quickly find specialized skills.
Will they find you there?
