Of course, you may be asking yourself why anyone should bother adding yet another social network to their list of sites - well the answer is easy.  There aren't any others like My Talent Network.

What Good is a Network, Anyway?
Back in 1994 Kevin Bacon reportedly claimed to have worked with everyone in Hollywood or at least to have worked with someone who's worked with them. Soon after, the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon surfaced as a game created by three college students. The idea of the game was to see how many connections there were between Kevin Bacon and any other actor. Astonishingly enough - they found the network of actors to be tighter than they thought.

The idea behind most social networks (which were originally around long before the Internet) is that we're all connected by x degrees and share x interests. By coming together in tighter circles we are able to make those connections and use them to our advantage.
