Brief history of online job hunt:

Job seeker: only job description could I understand the job.

2. Job search:
Example: Indeed, SimplyHired.com
Recruiter: I can fetch my target through multiple job boards more convenient.
Job seeker: I can search and compare all jobs now.
3. Network:
Example: LinkedIn
Email base, let you know the detail information through email.
4. Real time network:
Example: Jobirn.com
Access company and job seeker through instant messenger and video.

RecruiterGuy posted here a week ago talking about Jobirn and I think it is very interesting and agree with him that it is a great idea. I am wondering how many people the average company like ING, Nokia and McDonalds need to support live chatting with candidates.

I spoke with Chris (RecruiterGuy) on Saturday and he said he loves the concept but worries about the manpower that might be needed to make sure that people trying to chat are actually spoken with. I had not thought of this originally but he made a good point and I would like to see more information about it because if I am a boutique recruiting firm I will not have the manpower to take part in jobirn's plan and guarantee my job seekers the attention that it demands. I can be more efficient but less personal using a career board. I would love to have a balance for both.

Jack can you say how many people are really online for the larger companies based on your experience? How many are they finding they need?
Thank you for posting this illustration.
